New Artist Feature: The Warren Haynes Band

Words By Greg Molitor (ReMIND Photography)

In the world of jam rock, there are few artists who are as prolific as singer/guitarist Warren Haynes. Whether it’s with Gov’t Mule, The Dead, or The Allman Brothers, Haynes has become a fixture on the scene throughout the years with his passionate playing and consistently pleasing output. With as busy as Haynes stays, it’s not surprising that he’s at it again, this time with his new soul project, The Warren Haynes Band. His new album, Man in Motion, will be released on May 5th, 2011, featuring Ivan Neville on keys, George Porter Jr. on bass, Ruthie Foster on vocals and the Faces/Rolling Stones keyboard veteran Ian McLagan among others.

Check out even more videos below of Haynes’s new project at last year’s X-Mas Jam to get a taste for what Warren is up to these days. The Warren Haynes band has a busy spring and summer schedule that includes stops at music festivals such as Hangout, Bonnaroo, High Sierra, All Good, Outside Lands, and Mountain Jam VII. Like most festival seasons, you’ll have to go out of your way to avoid Warren this year, but who wants to do that?!? Enjoy!
