Listen Now: Leo Kottke In Concert

Known for his compelling original compositions as well as his arrangements of cover songs, renowned acoustic guitarist Leo Kottke makes his ninth appearance on Mountain Stage. During his career, Kottke has collaborated with Phish bassist Mike Gordon and recorded an extensive catalog that has inspired countless guitarists. His debut LP, 6 & 12 String Guitar, has been reissued on CD three times since its 1969 release.

Combined with his impromptu stage banter, Kottke puts on a charming set, closing with a captivating medley that combines the 1951 tune "Mockingbird Hill" — a hit for both Patti Page and Les Paul & Mary Ford — with Duane Allman's 1971 track "Little Martha."
